10 steps on how to write down your 10 years plan today.
I was talking to some friends yesterday and I recently noticed that I was often the only one among my peers to have this stupidly long note in my phone where I write down what I want my life to look like the next few years. This helped me a lot to achieve more than normal last few years. So here is one more life hack.
- Take a shower and think of who you thought you will be today, 10 years ago. Then play same exercise, 10 years from now.
- Write next 10 years on bullet points.
- Write sub-bullet points for each year: (health, activities, wealth, legacy)
- Wake up and think of what you would like to be if you were to die 10 years from now. What would you like to be remembered for? This is your life goal. Don’t wait to be 60 years old to realize it.
- Once a month, have a walk in the park or so to think you want to be in 10 years. (This is a meditation exercise you can do as often as you want.
- Write what you want to be like visually in 10 years (appearances, activities, wealth, legacy). This visualization really matter more than what you think as it will act as motivation elements when you are lazy.
- Write several annexes goals that are not your life goal but it would be nice to add up to your completely fulfilled life. These are your lifestyle subgoals.
- Each year you should then have 4 key items to complete (health, activities, wealth, legacy)
- At least once a week you should think of your life todo list and remind yourself what are the items you need to cross to be fulfilled this year/ also update or remove items you don’t think make sense anymore. This is part of the visualization process that will increase your chances to make your dreams happen.
- Write a 10 years plan every decade. But don’t forget to review your past 10 years plan to see what you ended up making real and what is the degree of variance of your plan compare to your actual life.
