Djoann is the General Partner of The Atlas Capital, South East Asia’s first climate tech VC focused on cities’ adaptation to climate change. The Atlas Capital focuses funding on vital sustainability tech innovations to help the built environment (residential, commercial buildings, offices, hotels) become “climate-proof”. Djoann Fal is an international speaker covered in the New York Times, The Economist, Tatler, and Forbes. Previously he was the founding CEO of GetLinks Group, a multi-national tech company headquartered in Hong Kong funded by Alibaba, 500 startups, JobsDB, which he exited in 2020 before founding Atlas.

Djoann Fal, Forbes 30 under 30, had led his tech hiring marketplace GetLinks, from California to SEA and exited the company after the investments of Alibaba & JobsDB. Semi-retired on the beaches of Phuket, in 2020, he almost drowned, tangled in a plastic bag. That is what inspired him to dedicate his next 10 years to supporting businesses regenerating our environment and our climate. After a year of research 7 interviews with these new industry leaders and consolidating an investment thesis into a book; in 2021, he established Atlas Capital, a climate tech-focused seed investment firm, and invested in 8 innovative green tech companies across the US, Europe, and SEA. Thanks to the performances of companies like Posh Robotics (EV batteries recycling), Avalanche Energy (Nuclear Fusion), and Zauben (Building retrofitting), his first fund performed 3.2x AUM growth. He is now structuring a $25m second climate tech fund working with Asian industrial conglomerates to help decarbonize SEA through agri-tech, cleantech investments, and venture building.

Djoann has previously worked as a Regional Digital Marketing Executive at Rocket Internet GmBH for Lazada — Acquired by Alibaba in 2016. Prior to this, he served as Marketing Consultant at EY Shanghai.

While studying Master's in Management at ESCP Europe in Paris, Djoann co-founded La Paillasse, Europe’s largest maker space. Today Djoann keeps close relationships with the technology, hacker, and maker space community across US, Europe & Asia.

Recently, GetLinks acquired several companies making GetLinks become a Group Holding of several entities supporting not only technology hiring (HR Tech) but also technology education (Ed Tech) and flexible staffing, Djoann now acts as Strategy & Development officer of this group overseeing the managing directors of each entity while also be more involved in the development of Adaptivity, the new operating system for lifelong learning of the group, helping 100,000 users by 2025 to be digitally employable by learning the skillsets required for the upcoming 4.0 industrial revolution.
